Matriculation: Shun Cultism, Examination Malpractices, Hooliganism, Yahoo Yahoo, Registrar Admonishes Matriculants

The Registrar, Ekiti State Polytechnic, Isan Mr. Joseph Akin Olugbenga Olorunsola has admonished the Matriculants to shun cultism, examination malpractices, hooliganism, yahoo yahoo and not to be enticed by joining the bandwagons of getting rich quick’ by refrain from engaging in criminal deeds that are capable of tarnishing ones image, saying that is the blessing of God that makes one rich and secured glorious end.

The Registrar gave the admonition  while addressing the matriculants  during the 2nd matriculation that took place on Friday 19th, August, 2022.He stated that students  who engaged in such criminal behaviours should not expect glorious end, advised the matriculants to shun examination malpractices, cultism ,drugs abuse, indecent  dressing, theft ,rape extortion, sexual harassment certificate racketeering and all forms of evil deeds that are capable of depriving them of accessing their desired dream future. 

According to him “ the Management is always ready to pay priority attention to the pursuit of academic excellence, conducive environment  for teaching and learning, and a hitch –free academic session, that is the primary duty  of the Management and we will try our best. I am encouraging you as parent to stay away from deeds that are capable of cut short your lives, any student found in the act of criminalities will face expulsion and handover to the Law enforcement agency.

The Seasoned Administrator  while speaking on the dress code said ,the Polytechnic has an approved dress code for all students ,which was stated on the students handbook .he added that wearing tattered /crazy jeans , rubber  slippers ,sagging of trousers ,tattooing of body, wearing of earrings by males ,hair tainting or colouring among others are clearly unacceptable  and forbidden on campus and attract serious sanction. 

He used the occasion to congratulate the Matriculants and urged them to use their time for profitable things while calling on the parents to play their parental roles in conjunction with the moral, social and academic training that would be given to their wards.  He charged the Matriculants to use their time appropriately, by engaging in profitable things as the only way to come out in flying colour. The Registrar wishing them well in their future endeavours.
