Kogi State Polytechnic Announces 2026/2027 Post-UTME Screening Exercise

The Management of Kogi State Polytechnic has officially announced the commencement of its Post-UTME screening registration for the 2026/2027 academic session.
According to a statement released by the institution, the online registration exercise will begin on Monday, May 25, 2026, and close on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
The Polytechnic invited suitably qualified candidates seeking admission into its various National Diploma (ND) programmes to apply through the institution’s official admission portal.
Available Courses
The institution disclosed that admissions are open across several schools and departments, including Agricultural Technology, Applied Sciences, Engineering Technology, Environmental Technology, Management Studies, Art, Design and Printing, as well as General and Communication Studies.
Some of the programmes available for admission include Computer Science, Science Laboratory Technology, Statistics, Mass Communication, Accountancy, Business Administration, Public Administration, Civil Engineering Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Library and Information Science, Office Technology and Management, among others.
Eligibility Requirements
The Polytechnic stated that candidates must have chosen Kogi State Polytechnic as their preferred institution during the UTME and scored a minimum of 100 in the examination.
Applicants are also expected to possess at least five O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
The management further noted that candidates awaiting their O’Level results can also apply, provided they meet the minimum UTME score requirement and indicate their status appropriately during registration.
In addition, applicants are required to provide valid contact details, including a functional phone number, email address, and National Identification Number (NIN).
Application Procedure
Interested candidates are advised to visit the Polytechnic’s official website, Kogi State Polytechnic, or access the application portal via Kogi State Polytechnic Admission Portal to begin the registration process.
The institution fixed the Post-UTME registration fee at ₦2,000 only, payable online through the portal.
Candidates are expected to complete the application form and upload all necessary documents after payment confirmation.
Important Notice to Applicants
The Polytechnic emphasized that priority would be given to candidates who selected the institution as their first-choice institution and have uploaded their O’Level results on the JAMB portal.
Applicants were also warned against providing false information, noting that any form of falsification would attract automatic disqualification.
The institution further cautioned candidates to avoid dealing with agents or third parties during the registration process, stressing that all applications should be handled personally through the official portal.
The announcement was signed by the Registrar, Elder Sunday Aiyeetan, and released through the Directorate of Public Relations and Protocols on May 23, 2026.
