Kano State Polytechnic Rector inaugurates CSUG EXECUTIVES

The Rector, Dr. Abubakar Umar Farouq, FCA on Monday 1st July, 2024 inaugurated the new Executive Council of the Central Students Union Government (CSUG).

Speaking during the inauguration, the Rector urged the new Executive members to consider the positions as stepping stones to greater leadership opportunities in the future, therefore, they should be responsible, responsive, and transparent in the course of discharging their duties.

He further charged them to revive the sporting activities in the Institution and consider the welfare of students as their top priority, noting that the management has confidence that many of the Institution’s problems would be solved through their impactful activities.

The Deputy Registrar, Students Affairs, Sadiq Imam Wali, in his remarks, urged the new Executive members to be true representatives of their fellow students, emphasizing that the core purpose of their nomination is to, to some extent, cater for the welfare of the students and by extension help in moving the Institution to greater heights.

Meanwhile, in his inaugural speech, the new CSUG President, Comrade Saifullahi Babawa, on behalf of the entire executive members thanked the KSP Management and other stakeholders for the confidence repose on them. He reiterated that his administration will focus on improving the welfare of students as well as fostering the existing cordial relationship between student unions and the management, as well as between the management and the state government.

He solicited the support and cooperation of the entire students and staff of the Institution to have a peaceful and rancor-fee administration.
