Kano Poly Honors Retirees, Pays Tribute to Deceased Staff in Emotional Ceremony

Kano State Polytechnic’s Department of Hospitality Management recently held a heartfelt send-forth ceremony to honor its retirees and pay tribute to deceased staff members. The event, which took place at Prof. Hafiz Abubakar Hall, was a moment of reflection, gratitude, and celebration.
The gathering brought together faculty members, staff, and the families of honorees to recognize years of dedication and service. In addition to touching speeches by department leaders, awards were presented to acknowledge the contributions of former staff.
Among those honored were Dr. Dahiru Turajo, Malam Ibrahim Aminu, Aisha Abubakar Jakada, Mansura Muhammad Kabir, and Yunusa Hamisu Rabi’u. The department also posthumously recognized Late Halima Jibril Muhammad and Late Rabi Garba Ibrahim for their invaluable service.
In his closing remarks, a senior official emphasized the importance of upholding such traditions to foster a culture of appreciation and community within the institution.
The event was a testament to the department’s commitment to recognizing excellence and preserving the legacy of those who dedicated their careers to education and service.
