JAMB 2026 UTME Mock Results Out: Over 20 CBT Centres Delisted Over Technical Issues

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mock test conducted on Saturday, March 28, 2026.
In a statement issued in Abuja, the board’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, confirmed that candidates who participated in the mock examination can now check their results using a simple SMS method.
According to JAMB, candidates are required to send “MOCKRESULT” to either 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during their UTME registration. This process ensures secure access to individual results and reduces the risk of unauthorized checks.
The board disclosed that a total of 224,597 candidates registered for the mock exercise, out of which 152,586 successfully sat for the test across 989 accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide. The mock exam is designed to help candidates familiarize themselves with the CBT environment ahead of the main examination.
Following a review of the exercise, JAMB announced the delisting of more than 20 CBT centres due to technical failures and operational inefficiencies recorded during the mock test. The board stated that the affected centres fell short of the required standards, prompting immediate action to maintain the integrity of the examination process.
In addition, JAMB issued a strong warning to candidates regarding the growing activities of fraudsters, particularly on platforms like WhatsApp. The board cautioned candidates against engaging with individuals or groups claiming they can manipulate or upgrade UTME scores.
JAMB emphasized that such practices are illegal and carry severe consequences, including the cancellation of results or outright disqualification from the examination process. The board reaffirmed its zero-tolerance stance on examination malpractice and digital fraud.
Candidates are advised to rely only on official communication channels for accurate information and updates concerning the UTME.
Meanwhile, preparations are ongoing for the main 2026 UTME, which is scheduled to commence on Thursday, April 16, 2026. The board assured candidates of its commitment to delivering a smooth, transparent, and credible examination process nationwide.
JAMB continues to strengthen its operational framework to enhance the credibility of public examinations in Nigeria, ensuring that all candidates are assessed fairly based on merit.
