IMT GAINS NUC FULL ACCREDITATION IN 8 DEGREE COURSES

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation to eight degree courses offered by the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu in affiliation with the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN).
The Director, Degree Programme, IMT Enugu, Dr. Ogochukwu Okanya, made this known during a courtesy visit by the IMT leadership to the Management of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Enugu National Station.
Dr. Okanya, who represented the Rector of IMT, Prof. Austin Nweze at the visit, noted that the degree Programme, which started in 2018, now had a full 5 year accreditation.
Dr. Okanya, who announced that IMT had scheduled the matriculation of it’s new degree Programme students in three weeks time, advised those seeking admission for a degree Programme to enroll in IMT.
Also, the Deputy Director, IMT Degree Programme, Dr. Adachukwu Ikeyi enumerated the courses offered by the polytechnic.
They include Computer Science, Statistics, Business Management and Accountancy.
Others are Marketing, Public Administration, Mass Communication and Banking and Finance.
In a reaction, the Zonal Director FRCN Enugu Zonal Station, Pastor Emmanuel Inegbedion, commended IMT for stepping up it’s academic programmes and assured the polytechnic of FRCN’s commitment to publicise Programmes and activities of IMT, especially its degree Programme.
Pastor Inegbedion, who decried recurring industrial actions by institutions of higher learning and the poor standard of education in the country, advised IMT not to lower the standard of its degree Programme.
