Emerging researchers and early-career professionals in the fields of gender-based violence prevention, public health, and related disciplines have a remarkable opportunity to develop their careers through the SVRI Forum Young Professionals Programme (YPP) 2025. This prestigious initiative is aimed at building leadership capacity among young professionals and empowering them to engage with global research communities.

What the Program Offers

Selected participants will benefit from a structured mentorship experience, including:

  • Guided Research Development: Mentors will support participants in shaping their research focus and abstract submissions for the SVRI Forum 2026.
  • Early Abstract Mentoring Track: A select group of 4 to 6 candidates will receive in-depth support before the formal abstract submission process opens. This mentoring phase will be hosted via the Oxford Abstracts platform.
  • Professional Coaching: Mentors from the SVRI community will provide personalized feedback, helping participants develop the skills to present their research confidently at an international level.
  • Travel Bursary: Regardless of abstract selection status, all accepted participants will receive funding to attend the SVRI Forum 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Young Professionals Programme Pre-Abstract Mentoring Track, applicants must:

  • Be 35 years old or younger (born in 1990 or later)
  • Be actively working in areas related to one or more themes of the SVRI Forum 2026
  • Intend to submit an abstract for consideration at the Forum
  • Not have participated in this mentorship program in previous editions
