Federal School of Surveying, Oyo 2022/2023 HND, PD and PGD Form is Out

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission to Federal School of  Surveying, Oyo for the following FULL-TIME COURSES for the 2022/2023 Academic Session:

DEPARTMENT OF SURVEYING AND GEOINFORMATICS

i. Higher National Diploma (HND) in Surveying and Geoinformatics – 4 Semesters

ii. Pre-Professional Diploma (PPD) in Surveying and Geoinformatics – 2 Semesters

iii. Professional Diploma (PD) in Surveying and Geoinformatics – 3 Semesters

DEPARTMENT OF CARTOGRAPHY AND GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM (GIS)

i. Post-Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Geographic Information System (GIS) – 2 Semesters

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS

Higher National Diploma (HND) in Surveying and Geoinformatics (4 Semesters)

Candidates must possess National Diploma (ND) in Surveying and Geoinformatics (or Land Surveying) at minimum of Lower Credit level and evidence of one year post-ND Industrial Attachment experience. In addition, candidates must have requisite entry qualification for the National Diploma (ND) programme. Candidates with ordinary Pass at ND level must have at least two (2) years post-ND experience

Pre-Professional Diploma (PPD) in Surveying and Geoinformatics (2 Semesters)

Candidates must possess First degree (with Honours) with at least Second Class Lower Division in subjects cognate to Surveying, such as Mathematics, Physics, Geography with Mathematics, Geology and Geophysics. Candidates must possess basic entry requirement for National Diploma (ND) in Surveying and Geoinformatics which must include Credit Pass in English Language, Mathematics and Physics. In addition, candidates must be computer literate plus evidence of National Youth Service or Exemption Certificate.

Professional Diploma (PD) in Surveying and Geoinformatics (3 Semesters)

Candidates must possess any of the following qualifications:

i. Higher National Diploma (HND) in Surveying and Geoinformatics with a minimum of Lower Credit.

ii. FSS, Oyo ATC II with equivalent level of Credit passes in both Theory and Practical. 

iii. In addition, evidence of National Youth Service or Exemption Certificate must be attached. 

Post-Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Geographic Information System (GIS) (2 Semesters)

The programme is opened to holders of First degree or HND in the fields of Sciences, Engineering, Technology, Education and Business Management such as Surveying, Geography, Physics, Computer Science, Town Planning, Estate Management, Geology, Civil Engineering, Statistics, Forestry, Cartography, Architecture, Educational Management, Business Administration and Marketing. In addition, there must be evidence of National Youth Service or Exemption Certificate and evidence of computer literacy.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Registration is online, it starts from Monday 31st October, 2022 and closes on Friday 30th December, 2022. The following are the procedure for the Online Admission Application:

i. Visit the School Admission Portal at https://applications.fss-oyo.edu.ng/ 

ii. Click on Start a Fresh Application. This takes you to a page where you 

select your application type and fill in your biodata.

iii. Once that has been filled, check the terms and conditions box and click on continue. Note: You will not be able to update your names after submitting this page

iv. You will be directed to the Payment Voucher Page and you will get an email notifying you of your application and a pdf copy of your payment advice

v. Click on Pay Online and you will be directed to the payment page.

vi. Once payment has been confirmed, go back to the homepage and click on continue application

vii. This takes you to the page as seen below

viii. Enter your Reference number/ UTME No which was provided on your payment advice.
