EDE POLY Bans Students From Bringing Cars to Campus

The Governing council of the Federal polytechnic Ede has banned students from bringing their cars, vehicles to campus with immediate effect.
The board has also banned private motorcycles (Okada) on campus.
This was contained in a circular dated 6th June 2022 Which reads “Please recall that the Governing Council of the Polytechnic banned Students Vehicles (numbered & unnumbered) and Motor Cycles (Okada) from entering the Campuses of the Polytechnic vide a widely circulated memo on 7th October 2021.
“In view of the above, and the recent happenings on the Campuses of the Polytechnic, I write to reiterate the earlier decision of the Governing Council banning Students Vehicles (numbered & unnumbered) and Motor Cycles (Okada) from entering the Campuses of the Polytechnic with effect from Monday, 13th June, 2022. To this end, the Chief Security Officer is to ensure strict compliance of this directive, while Deans, Directors and Heads of Department/Units are enjoined to give this memo the wildest publicity”

The Reason for banning students from bringing their cars to the polytechnic campus maybe connected to a viral video where a student mocked the polytechnic lecturers comparing their cars to that of students.
