BREAKING: ASUP COMMENCES FRESH STRIKE

The Academic staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) has directed its members to withdraw their services from work with immediate effect, following the mandatory requirements Of PhD and 20years Work experience as conditions for the application of the position of Rector in Nigerian Polytechnics.
This decision was the outcome of the ASUP National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held at Jigawa state Polytechnic between 3rd and 7th July 2022, and was finalized that the affected chapters (Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti, Federal Polytechnic Ede, Federal Polytechnic Ilaro and Federal Polytechnic Idah) Union members to withdraw services from the institution pending when correction Will be made in the said advertisement.
The affected Polytechnics are Adopoly, Ede Poly, Idah Poly and Ilaro Poly.

The Polytechnic lecturers have been directed by the NEC council to suspend work pending when necessary corrections will be made.
