Bloom Scholars Program 2025 Now Open for Applications – $500 Annual Scholarship for Young African Women

Applications are now open for the Bloom Scholars Program 2025, a unique initiative focused on empowering young African women to become changemakers within their communities and across the globe.

Launched in 2019, Bloom Africa is a registered nonprofit organization dedicated to nurturing the potential of African and Diasporan women and girls. The program supports female secondary school graduates who are ready to begin their university journey and are committed to leadership and social impact.

About the Bloom Scholars Program

The Bloom Scholars Program offers a four-year tuition-only scholarship of up to $500 annually, specifically designed for outstanding young women entering their first year of university in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, or Sierra Leone.

This initiative aims to foster a new generation of leaders who will leverage their education to create lasting impact in their local communities.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Bloom Scholars Program 2025, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Must be a female recent secondary school graduate
  
• Must be a citizen of an African country
  
• Must be planning to attend a recognized university in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Sierra Leone, or South Africa for the 2025 academic year
  
• Must demonstrate financial need
  
• Must show a strong passion for leadership and social change
  

Program Benefits

Selected scholars will receive:

• Annual tuition support of up to $500 for four academic years
  
• Training in SME project management
