Benue State Polytechnic Ugbokolo: New Chairman of Council Appointed

The Executive Governor of Benue State, Dr. Samuel Ortom has appointed a new Chairman for the governing council of Benue State Polytechnic Ugbokolo. He is Dr. Ogbe obande. Dr. Ogbe obande succeeds Dr. Joseph Ngbea who was recently appointed as Benue State commissioner for health and human services following the death of the former office holder.

Dr. Ogbe obande graduated from St. Francis college otukpo in 1972, and was a lecturer of chemistry at the Bayero university Kano. He also attended the Bradford university England, in the United kingdom in 1982.

Dr. Ogbe obande, it could be recalled was Rector, Benue State Polytechnic Ugbokolo before he ventured into politics during the early period of this nascent political dispensation where and when he merited the envious appointment of Nigeria’s Ambassador to Switzerland.

As the then Rector of Benue State Polytechnic Ugbokolo, he crafted his name in the administrative and academic Spectrum of the institution for being credited with the enviable record of establishing the Part time program under the aegis of Benpocon Nig.ltd. , a Corporate Consultancy establishment among others.

On behalf of the members of the Governnig council , management, staff and students of Benue State Polytechnic Ugbokolo, Dr. Usman David Kuti, the Rector, heartily rejoice with Dr.

Ambassador Ogbe Obande on his appointment as Chairman of Governnig council of Benue State Polytechnic Ugbokolo. Dr. Kuti believes that the New Chairman will use his ingenious quality to propel the course of Academic excellence for the Polytechnic through proactive policies and unbundling of bureaucratic procedures, and therefore wished him well in his new assignment.

In the same development, the Rector Dr. Usman David Kuti has expressed appreciation to His Excellency, Dr. Samuel Ortom for his choice of Dr. Obande as the new council chairman which he noted as a laudable feat.

Congratulations, Dr. Ambassador Ogbe Obande on your second triumphant entry and Welcome to Benue State Polytechnic Ugbokolo.
