ASUP STRIKE: STUDENTS JUBILATE AS ILARO POLY POSTPONES EXAMINATION (See Video)
The management of the Federal polytechnic Ilaro, has postponed First Semester 2021/2022 examination earlier scheduled to commence on Monday 16th My 2022 due to the two(2) weeks warning strike announced .by the academic staff union of polytechnics (ASUP).
The school management made this announcement on Friday 13th May 2022 and advised the polytechnic students to make use of the strike action to pursue actives that will benefit their academic journey in the institution.
DSPG Postpones Examination Till Further Notice
The statement Reads,
“Sequel to the warning strike decleared buy Academic Staff Union of polytechnic to press home their demandes from the federal Government, the local wing of the Trade union has notified management of it’s decision to fully participate in the strike action. The Implication of this is that the 1th Semester Examination for 2021/2022 which is supposed to commence on Monday, May 16, 2022 to put in abeyance for now.
LIST OF POLYTECHNICS JOINING ASUP STRIKE
“According, the Acting Rector, Engr, (Mrs) I.K , ogunfayo has directed that students and polytechnic community will be informed of further directive on the matter in due course.
“In line with our traditional, Student are enjoined period for worthwhile activities that will affect their academic pursuit in the positive way and maintain high level of decorum.
“Student who are resident in the Hostel are also enjoined to maintain peace and tranquility during the period.”
Having postponed the first semester examination, some of the polytechnic students have jubilate especially the students who are yet tipsy their school fees.
