Applications Open for the Green Money Project 2025: Empowering Nigerian Youth in Agribusiness

Young Nigerians passionate about agriculture now have a chance to scale their impact and build sustainable businesses through the Green Money Project 2025. This initiative is part of a national effort to support youth involvement in agriculture, equipping them with tools, skills, and funding to thrive in Nigeria’s growing agribusiness sector.
About the Green Money Project
The Green Money Project is a presidential empowerment program aimed at transforming agriculture by investing in Nigeria’s youth. The initiative is designed to identify and support individuals who are interested in agribusiness, providing them with access to training, resources, mentorship, and funding opportunities.
This project is part of the government’s broader plan to diversify the economy, enhance food security, and create employment through agriculture-driven enterprises.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the Green Money Project, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Age: 18 to 40 years old
- Nationality: Must be a Nigerian citizen or permanent resident
- Education: At least a secondary school certificate
- Location: Must reside in any of the 36 states or the Federal Capital Territory
- Experience/Interest: Must have a genuine interest or background in agriculture or agribusiness
- Willingness to Learn: Must be open to participating in training sessions and workshops
- Business Goals: Must be working on or planning to start an agribusiness
- Digital Skills: Basic understanding of smartphone use and internet navigation
- Physical Capacity: Must be capable of engaging in hands-on agricultural activities
- New Applicants Only: Should not have benefited from similar government agricultural schemes in the past
- Identification: Must possess a valid government-issued ID (e.g., National ID, Voter’s Card, or Driver’s License)
What Participants Will Gain
Successful applicants will receive comprehensive support that includes:
