YESI HOLDS 2ND SUCCESS SEMINAR IN FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC OF OIL AND GAS, BONNY

The second Phase Seminar of the Youth Education Support Initiative (YESI) was held on Wednesday, 31st August, 2022 at the Polytechnic Auditorium.
The success Seminar which was tagged, “Developing and Profiting From Your Gifts” had in attendance the Acting Rector, Mrs Ibifiri Blessing Pollyn who was represented by the Dean of Students Affairs, Mr. Iriakuma Chris.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Iriakuma commended YESI for their laudable efforts in human capital development and their desire to reach out to youths in Bonny and it’s environs. He announced FPOG readiness to partner with other well meaning ventures in such light to provide the platform for equipping Youths with required skills to live on campus and beyond. He called on the students to make the most of the opportunity presented through the seminar.
Speaking on the topic “Entrepreneurship”, Mrs. Afolabi, advised students to engage in something profitable with their extra time by engaging in small scale business and skill training.

The second speaker, Mr..Gift Major talked on ‘ Personality Profilling/Personal Effectiveness” speaking, he started by admonishing the students to always know who they are, what they can do and discovering their talents. He stressed on character moulding as well as showcasing their hidden talents, this he did with different illustrations.


There was questions and answers session where students sort to be clarified on some grey areas and the resource persons took turns in answering their questions.
In her remarks on behalf of YESI, Mrs. Ijeoma Omeoga the BOT Secretary, appreciated the management of FPOG under the leadership of the Ag. Rector, Mrs Ibifiri Blessing Pollyn for always opening her doors of partnership to impact driven ventures as such, adding that YESI was already recording millstones amongst FPOG’s students after it’s maiden edition of the training in March.
